GARDEN EDUCATION

Studio Cultivate aims to educate pupils in the importance of gardens and the living things that occupy them.

Through practical, outdoor lessons pupils discover how to grow and nurture plants and in doing so create vibrant and productive gardens and a sense of ownership.

Studio Cultivate are currently working at numerous schools and nurseries across London. We offer one off and weekly workshops. All lessons are tied closely to national curriculums and include lesson reports documenting the lesson’s content.

Studio Cultivate believe strongly in the integration of other subjects into horticulture and combine gardening lessons with the worlds of literature, drama and art.

Weaving our way through Ancient China, to the Roman Empire, and across the war-torn seas of the European Age of Discovery, we’ll learn how a smuggling princess, ruthless pirates and one humble worm came together to help a simple fabric conquer the world.

Our latest family workshop is premiering at Chelsea Physic Garden 17/08/17.

Use our garden map and dino profiles to hunt down the living fossils that these magnificent reptiles may have enjoyed for breakfast, elevenses, lunch and tea. Then create and take home your very own Mesozoic garden-terrarium!!

Francis Smith

 Francis founded Studio Cultivate in Spring 2014 with the principle aim of engaging people with plants and outdoor spaces. Francis now delivers Garden Workshops to schools and nurseries across London as well as providing Garden Design and maintenance services for homes, schools and commercial clients.

MAINTENANCE

A Studio Cultivate Maintenance Programme ensures that a garden remains beautiful, healthy and productive, providing clients with a comfortable and enjoyable space to occupy throughout the year.

DESIGN

Studio Cultivate creates beautiful and engaging gardens in which food can be grown and habitat created. Our designs encourage clients to interact with plants and the wildlife that inhabit them.
